GAME NOTES:
- After a loss to their bitter rivals from the south last night, the Summerland Steam will have to have a short memory and get back to work if they want to beat the Revelstoke Grizzlies on Saturday.
- Revelstoke will be hungry after a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Chase Heat last night.
- The Steam and the Grizzlies met 8 days ago in Revelstoke, and Summerland walked out of the Forum with 2 points after a 6-2 victory.
- Summerland is 14-6-0-1 at home this season, good for a .667% win % on home ice. 4 of those losses came against the Coyotes from Osoyoos. If you take those out of the equation, Summerland’s win % jumps to .823% with 14 wins in 17 games.
- Revelstoke is a much healthier hockey team than Summerland saw 8 days ago. That night they were missing 7 regulars from their lineup, and tonight they’re expected to ice their full roster.
- Paul Laferriere started in goal for the Grizzlies in last night’s loss, and was pulled in favour of Trevor Dilauro for the final 10 minutes of the game. I’d expect to see Dilauro in there tonight for the Grizzlies.
- For Summerland, it’s gonna be a guy named Matt who steps into the blue paint for the Steam tonight. Matt Kostiw started last night, and played well despite taking the loss against the Coyotes. His goaltending partner, Matt Huber, could very well start tonight for the Steam.
- Puck drop is 7:30 from the Summerland Arena tonight. We’ll be live (hopefully if no technology ninjas hijack us again) for pre-game at 7:15.
