While the Summerland Steam are on the road to the Cariboo to face the 100 Mile House Wranglers this weekend, their PR team has been hard at work. Today they announced a venture in conjunction with IGA Summerland to help fill the shelves at the Summerland Food Bank.
On November 20th when the Steam play host to the division rival Kelowna Chiefs, Summerland IGA will be on hand from 6-9PM accepting food donations to benefit the Summerland Food Bank. The first 100 people that drop off a small bag of food will receive a FREE TICKET to the game that night, starting at 7:30PM!
While that’s going on outside, we’ll be getting ready for a big night inside! FortisBC is our Game Night Sponsor for that night’s game and will have contests and giveaways going on at their booth ALL NIGHT LONG! IGA will also host their annual BUGGY RACE in the first intermission, followed by Yaki’s Pizza & Sub Chuck-A-Puck in the 2nd intermission!
Puck drop will be at 7:30PM at the Summerland Arena, but the festivities will get underway around 6PM!
